Floods and Wet Moons

Blood, water, and moon milk stained the evening metallic,
so in the circumference of silver, burning a hole in the sky
and the absolution of a  round, plump, pregnant night
the lover whispered,
“swim laps around me, beloved. Pull me in, pull me out, PUT me out. I’m on fire and water is no longer enough.”
The Earth paused. And there were floods.
Cycles in full:
a full moon and wet moss
sudden hemorrhages, a red Heaven, a silk Hell
a death somewhere in between. Hey, Just breathe.
Lay your head where my heart used to be
and you will hear our children inside my Earth.
Every time you take a step you will know that I love you
and we will always be connected through these cycles.
Bleed, heal, will
